Job Description
The job is for a Product Manager at Pure Storage, responsible for leading the VMware-focused product strategy and driving growth in the company's billion-dollar VMware-related business. The role involves strategic planning, business analysis, and collaboration across various teams to enhance product offerings and meet market demands.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee VMware-focused product strategy.
- Lead business analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
- Set business growth targets and OKRs in collaboration with leadership.
- Drive execution of strategies for high growth in a multi-billion dollar market.
- Assess competitive landscape and predict market trends.
- Collaborate with customers and partners to define go-to-market models.
- Monitor customer journey metrics to ensure product adoption.
- Gather customer feedback to identify key issues and trends.
- Conduct market and technology analysis.
- Establish scope and goals for growth initiatives with the executive team.
- Support sales processes and customer engagement with field sales teams.
- Engage in technical alignment and business development with partners.
- Deliver presentations to internal and external audiences.
Requirements
- 7 years Product Management, Technical Marketing, and/or Marketing experience.
- Experience in VMware, Kubernetes, or core infrastructure technologies.
- Experience with SQL, Oracle, and SAP HANA and similar databases use cases and related customer strategy.
- Technical expertise with VMware vSphere technologies, with particular focus on block and file-based integrations and features.
- Understanding and insight into storage technologies and use cases, such as disaster recovery offerings and migration workflows.
- Expertise on the VMware stack and ecosystem, with particular focus on the cloud-based models such as Azure VMware Solution, VMware Cloud on AWS, and others.
- Familiarity with disaster recovery, storage integrations and related use cases.
- Understanding of VMware configurations and details of NFS, block NVMe-oF, VAAI, and vVols, as well as market adoption and uses of those technologies.
- Possess a blend of business and technical savvy that includes the ability to build and drive impact with teams across multiple disciplines, especially field teams.
- Analytical and data-driven.
- Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills and can communicate concisely and persuasively.
- A Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree is required, or equivalent experience.
- Must be willing and able to work in an open office, team environment.
- You will be based in Santa Clara, CA, and are expected to be present in the office for 4 days a week.
