Job Description
The Principal Cloud Technical Specialist at Pure Storage will act as a technical expert in cloud-based solutions, primarily focusing on Azure and AWS environments, while collaborating with sales teams and partners to tailor solutions that meet customer needs. This role involves establishing trusted relationships with clients, demonstrating technical leadership, and contributing to the design and implementation of innovative cloud solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish yourself as a trusted technical advisor to customers for cloud-based solutions in Azure and AWS.
- Partner with sales teams and channel partners to design cloud solutions that showcase Pure Storage technology.
- Demonstrate technical leadership in public and private cloud, hybrid cloud architecture, and FinOps.
- Liaise with product and technical marketing teams to produce supporting materials and promote roadmap exchanges.
- Stay current with competition and ensure accurate solution positioning.
Requirements
- BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or other technical degree and/or equivalent experience.
- Pre-sales technical experience, with an emphasis on Azure and AWS Cloud in Enterprise accounts is required.
- Deep understanding of the architecture, design and implementation of complex cloud-based solutions in Azure and AWS environments.
- Strong knowledge of digital transformation to a Cloud Native architecture, Public Cloud, Provisioning Automation, and Containers.
- Deep understanding of Azure and AWS solutions, services and deployments is a must.
- Superior knowledge of current and emerging storage architectures including FC, iSCSI, NAS, OSD, SAN.
- Previous experience with Linux, NFS file systems and Linux distributed network environment.
- Knowledge of VMware, Local Area Networking, Ethernet, TCP/IP and general networking.
- Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills.
