Job Description
This role involves supporting the sales of enterprise storage solutions through technical leadership, customer engagement, and solution development, with a focus on storage architectures, system configurations, and market trends to drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop understanding of customer business needs and motivations
- Highlight advantages of Pure Storage solutions to customers
- Refine sales strategies and technical tactics
- Provide technical leadership and domain expertise on storage products and architectures
- Manage evaluations, benchmarks, system configurations, and installations
- Create and deliver technical product and architecture presentations
- Translate customer requirements into innovative storage solutions
- Respond to RFI, RFP, and RFQ documentation
- Identify and pursue new opportunities for interoperability, testing, and validation
- Collaborate with marketing to produce technical materials and support alliance plans
- Stay informed on market trends, competition, and solution positioning
Requirements
- Pre-sales experience supporting the sales of enterprise storage, networking, or systems solutions to a combination of large enterprise accounts and data centers, with a minimum of 5-10 years of experience.
- Deep understanding of the architecture, design, and implementation of multi-tiered client-server and web-based computing solutions.
- Prior experience in targeting new prospects and converting them into clients.
- Experience in supporting responses to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs, including contributing significant portions or leading responses.
- Superior knowledge of current and emerging storage architectures including FC, iSCSI, NAS, OSD, SAN, UNIX OS, NFS file systems, and UNIX distributed network environment.
- Experience with installation and configuration of distributed computing, multiprocessing, virtual memory subsystems, storage subsystems architecture, shared memory architectures, cache architectures, and windowing systems.
- Strong knowledge of digital transformation to Cloud Native architecture, On-Premises, Public Cloud, Provisioning Automation, and Containers.
- Knowledge of VMWare, Local Area Networking, Ethernet, TCP/IP, and general networking concepts.
- Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to be based in Istanbul and work in an office-centric role, being present in the office for 3 days a week, with flexibility depending on business needs.
- Familiarity with modern web architecture, including LAMP stack, scale-out vs scale-up architectures, and NoSQL alternatives, is a plus.
- Application knowledge relevant to storage solutions is highly desirable.
