Job Description

The Performance Programs Manager is responsible for overseeing the global performance management system, including goal setting, reviews, and coaching, while driving operational excellence, system integrity, and continuous improvement to align individual performance with organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end execution of global performance management cycles, including goal setting, check-ins, career conversations, and reviews.
  • Develop and refine performance management methodologies, evaluation criteria, and incorporate best practices to ensure a modern, fair, data-driven approach.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert and administrator for the HRIS Workday Performance Management module, ensuring data accuracy and system efficiency.
  • Oversee program logistics, monitor completion rates, troubleshoot system issues, and analyze operational data to ensure adoption and compliance.
  • Partner with Learning and Development teams to support training and communication efforts on feedback, coaching, and performance conversations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on talent initiatives such as leadership development, succession planning, and enterprise talent strategies.
  • Contribute to policy development and ensure alignment of performance management frameworks with organizational strategy.
  • Drive transformational HR program changes through influence, data insights, and cross-functional partnerships.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to strategically design, implement, and operate global cycles for Performance Management within a fast-paced, complex organization.
  • Deep expertise in Performance Management, including experience with goal setting, mid-year check-ins, career conversations, and annual reviews.
  • Experience in developing scalable frameworks and driving operational excellence across performance management processes.
  • Ability to develop, refine, and modernize performance management methodologies and evaluation criteria based on business needs and data insights.
  • Experience serving as a subject matter expert (SME) and administrator for HRIS systems, specifically Workday Performance Management module, ensuring configuration, data accuracy, and seamless user experience.
  • Ability to monitor completion rates, troubleshoot system issues, and run operational reports and variance analyses to track adoption and compliance of performance programs.
  • Experience partnering with Learning Development teams to support training and communication efforts that build capability in feedback, coaching, and performance conversations.
  • Demonstrated experience in driving significant, transformational HR program changes across a global organization using influence, data-driven insights, and cross-functional partnership.
  • Contribution to the development of new policies, frameworks, and best practices for performance management, ensuring alignment with evolving business strategy and culture.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to distill complex concepts into clear, concise communications, toolkits, and training materials for diverse audiences including employees, managers, and executives.
  • Strategic systems thinking with the ability to balance big-picture program design and rigorous, hands-on execution, ensuring solutions are scalable and integrated with HR technology like Workday.
  • Creative perspective on performance management with an advanced understanding of modern talent best practices and the ability to think beyond them.
  • Strong business acumen and a high degree of ownership, with proven results in earning trust with customers.
  • Experience in consultative change leadership, driving transformational HR program changes across a global organization using influence and data insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrating executive presence and content design capabilities.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in performance management or related HR roles in a global, complex organization.

Salary range in Lehi, Utah: $104,000 - $157,000
Salary range in Santa Clara, California: $149,000 - $224,000
