Key Responsibilities
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Frontend Engineer to join the Portworx UI team, responsible for building intuitive, scalable user experiences for our Kubernetes-based platform.
You will build production-quality web applications using React, collaborate closely with UX, Product, backend teams, and engineering leadership, and help shape frontend architecture and engineering practices. This role requires strong ownership, sound technical judgment, and the ability to solve complex problems independently while helping other engineers grow.
We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the {{OFFICE_LOCATION}} office in compliance with Everpure's policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance single-page applications using React and TypeScript.
Own features end to end—from requirements and design through implementation, testing, release, and production support.
Create reusable, accessible, responsive UI components using modern HTML, CSS, React patterns, and design systems.
Collaborate with UX, Product Management, and backend teams to turn customer and product needs into polished, production-ready features.
Contribute to frontend architecture, API integration, performance, maintainability, and engineering best practices.
Write and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests using Cypress or similar frameworks; identify coverage gaps and improve reliability.
Diagnose complex frontend, test, and environment issues and drive them to resolution with minimal oversight.
Provide thoughtful design and code-review feedback, mentor engineers, share knowledge, and contribute to interviewing and team development.
Incorporate customer and field feedback to improve usability, quality, and operational readiness across release cycles.
Requirements
7+ years of professional experience in frontend or full-stack software development.
Strong proficiency with React and modern React development practices, including hooks, state management, component architecture, and asynchronous data flows.
Deep understanding of TypeScript, JavaScript, browser behavior, API integration, and frontend performance.
Strong command of HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.
Experience with modern styling approaches such as Tailwind CSS, SCSS, or equivalent.
Hands-on experience with Cypress or a similar end-to-end testing framework, along with a solid understanding of unit and integration testing.
Demonstrated ability to design maintainable, testable solutions and independently debug complex issues.
Experience delivering multiple production features through release and support.
Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and mentoring skills.
Working knowledge of Angular, TypeScript-based component architecture, and RxJS.
Experience maintaining or integrating applications built with both React and Angular.
Exposure to Kubernetes, containerized environments, cloud-native applications, or frontend deployment and observability.
Familiarity with alternative testing frameworks, frontend test infrastructure, or Go and backend API development.
Benefits & Perks
Work on a cloud-native, Kubernetes-driven product.
Build user experiences for a complex distributed system with meaningful customer impact.
Own projects across the full product lifecycle and influence frontend architecture.
Collaborate closely with UX, Product, backend, and engineering leadership.
Mentor engineers and help raise the quality and effectiveness of the team.
