Job Description
A Systems Engineering Manager responsible for leading a team of pre-sales Systems Engineers in promoting and implementing storage, cloud, and AI-driven data solutions for enterprise clients, focusing on technical leadership, customer engagement, and strategic growth in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a high-performing team of pre-sales Systems Engineers in the Enterprise organization.
- Guide technical teams in understanding customer business needs and translating them into innovative storage solutions.
- Demonstrate technical leadership in storage products, architectures, and competitive offerings to delight customers and support sales efforts.
- Refine sales strategies and tactics, including technical responsibilities and solution validation.
- Support proposal responses to RFIs and RFPs and identify new opportunities for interoperability and testing.
- Promote market awareness and thought leadership by staying informed on industry trends and competitive landscape.
- Drive operational excellence and team support creation and validation of technical demand.
Requirements
- Five years of management experience leading high performing Sales Engineers selling in Enterprise Accounts.
- Ten years of experience supporting the sales of storage, networking, or systems solutions to a combination of large accounts and data centers.
- Deep understanding of the architecture, design, and implementation of multi-tiered client-server and web-based computing solutions.
- Prior experience in setting team strategy to acquire new prospects and converting them into clients.
- Knowledge of the business impact of current and emerging storage architectures including FC, iSCSI, NAS, OSD, and SAN.
- Strong knowledge of digital transformation to a Cloud Native architecture, On-Premises, Public Cloud, Provisioning Automation, and Containers.
- Knowledge of VMWare, Local Area Networking, Ethernet, TCP/IP, and general networking concepts.
- Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills.
