Job Description

The role involves leading regional solutions and product engineering teams to drive revenue growth, develop strategic technical initiatives, and build strong client and partner relationships within the data storage industry, while fostering a high-performance and inclusive team culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and orchestrate technical resources within the APJ region to support sales and growth strategies.
  • Develop and execute regional sales strategies in collaboration with sales leadership to drive revenue growth.
  • Engage directly with clients and lead key technical and sales engagements to establish trust and influence decision-making.
  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of System Engineers and Managers to ensure technical success.
  • Manage and analyze sales pipeline, forecasts, and key business metrics from a technical perspective.
  • Align technical messaging and resources across cross-functional teams and regional partners.
  • Ensure team members have the necessary skills, conduct performance evaluations, and implement development plans.
  • Promote and uphold the company's culture, values, and recognition practices within the team.

Requirements

  • Proven experience of successfully leading a senior technical team, including hiring, mentoring, coaching, conducting regular 1-1s, and developing Individual Development Plans for team members.
  • Substantial experience in leading large IT projects, including consulting, pre-sales and post-sales transformational IT services, or IT design and build projects within IT departments.
  • Experience in selling into large organizations and a thorough understanding of what it takes to be successful in a large organization selling environment.
  • Ability to establish oneself as a thought leader and trusted advisor with key senior client stakeholders during client engagements.
  • Experience in working on and leading initiatives to move upmarket across all segments of the business.
  • Ability to work with sales and pre-sales leadership to establish and track progress against a plan for creating long-term, sustainable growth.
  • Experience in engaging directly with pre-sales and sales leadership to strategize on opportunities and ensure correct engagement on pre-sales activities.
  • Ability to lead, report, and analyze the pipeline and forecast from a technical perspective.
  • Experience in developing, improving, and maintaining resources to meet and exceed sales goals while supporting customer and partner needs.
  • Ability to build relationships and alignment with technical equivalents within regional alliance and channel partners.
  • Deep understanding of key sales metrics related to sales and how the system engineering team can contribute to improving those metrics.
  • Deep understanding of key metrics for the system engineering team and leveraging those metrics to measure team progress and achievement.
  • Experience in ensuring system engineers have the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively execute processes.
  • Regular evaluation of system engineers' performance, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing process optimizations.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment and work from the Singapore office in compliance with company policies.
  • Strong communication skills to cascade goals and communicate technical issues effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to adapt and adjust to changes quickly and effectively analyze the results of employee actions to identify shortcomings affecting productivity.
  • Active participation as an executive sponsor in regional opportunities and industry events, promoting products and solutions.
  • Strong ethics and personal integrity, treating people with respect at all times, and caring about the company and its people.
