Job Description
The District Manager at Pure Storage will lead and develop a team of Account Executives in the Kansas or Missouri areas, focusing on sales strategy, team performance, and building strong business relationships to drive revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit and develop a team of Account Executives and Sales Engineers.
- Manage forecasting and pipeline to ensure revenue visibility.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities for territory strategy.
- Establish and maintain strong business relationships at the executive level.
- Provide ongoing coaching and conduct performance reviews for team members.
- Drive sales activities and ensure team meets or exceeds quotas.
- Collaborate with sales teams to implement account-specific strategies.
- Oversee territory management and alignment with company initiatives.
Requirements
- 5 years successful field sales management experience in storage or core Information Technology infrastructure in a highly competitive environment.
- Experience selling to IT departments and IT management is required.
- Proven track record of recruitment and associate development.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to clearly and effectively articulate Pure Storage's value.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and use good judgment in identifying root causality and problem solving.
- Ability to coordinate Pure Storage resources to execute a complex sales strategy.
- Ability to use CRM and other online tools effectively.
- Significant field travel expected.
- Must be organized, detail and process oriented.
