The role involves providing technical pre-sales support and thought leadership in enterprise storage solutions, guiding customers through modernization and cloud adoption, and translating complex technology into business value for clients in the public sector.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical leadership and support alongside SEMs
Understand customer business drivers and decision-making processes
Create social media content related to technology solutions
Connect technology solutions to measurable customer business outcomes
Collaborate with account managers, specialists, and channel partners to drive revenue and customer experience
Refine sales strategies and handle technical responsibilities in sales processes
Demonstrate expertise in storage products, architectures, and competitive offerings
Conduct presentations, solution demonstrations, and participate in executive briefings
Translate customer needs into innovative technical solutions
Lead or contribute to responses for RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs
Identify and promote new opportunities for interoperability and testing
Develop marketing materials such as whitepapers and web presentations
Stay current with industry trends, competition, and solution positioning
Serve as a solution expert in complex proof-of-concept and TCO calculations
Requirements
A Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
Pre-sales experience is required.
At least 8 or more years of relevant experience in technology, design, and communications.
Experience supporting the sales of enterprise storage, networking, systems, cloud, or software to enterprise accounts.
Deep understanding of the architecture, design, and implementation of multi-tiered client-server and web-based computing solutions.
Familiarity with modern web architecture including the LAMP stack, scale-out vs scale-up architectures, AWS well-architected framework, and microservices architecture is a plus.
Prior experience in targeting new prospects and converting them into clients.
Superior knowledge of current and emerging storage architectures including FC, iSCSI, NAS, OSD, SAN.
Strong knowledge of digital transformation to Cloud Native architecture, including On-Premises, Public Cloud, Provisioning Automation, and Containers.
Previous experience with Linux, NFS file systems, Linux distributed network environment, installation and configuration of distributed computing, multiprocessing, virtual memory subsystem, storage subsystems architecture, shared memory architectures, cache architectures, and windowing systems.
Knowledge of VMware, Local Area Networking, Ethernet, TCP/IP, and general networking.
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP is a plus.
Familiarity with containers, Kubernetes (k8s), and microservices architectures is a plus.
Familiarity with storage-intensive applications and their requirements such as structured databases like SQL and Oracle is highly desirable.
Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills.
