Job Description

The role involves supporting the commercial sales team at Pure Storage as a technical sales advisor, demonstrating the technical benefits of storage solutions to prospects and customers, and providing technical knowledge to facilitate the sales process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the commercial sales team as a technical sales advisor.
  • Assist prospects and customers with demonstrations and system configurations.
  • Remove technical barriers in the sales process through opportunity qualification and product demonstrations.
  • Respond to communications regarding product applications, pricing, and ongoing projects.
  • Demonstrate technical leadership and expertise on storage products and architectures.
  • Provide technical knowledge to Account Executives for positioning Pure Storage solutions.
  • Conduct continuous ad-hoc training for individuals and groups.
  • Use established programs and sizing tools to provide product performance solutions.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Support, Professional Service, and Product Management.
  • Prepare and deliver technical product and architecture presentations.
  • Contribute to and lead responses to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated communication and product presentation skills.
  • Fluency in Swiss-German and English with confident, articulate and professional speaking abilities, and a strong ability to listen.
  • 2 years of experience in the technology industry preferred.
  • Knowledge of current and emerging storage architectures including FC, iSCSI, NAS, SAN.
  • Knowledge of VMware, Windows, UNIX OS variants (Linux, AIX), NFS file systems, and network environments.
  • BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or other technical degree and/or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects in real-time scenarios.
