The Business Systems Analyst, Legal Operations, is responsible for designing, optimizing, and supporting systems and workflows that enhance the efficiency and decision-making capabilities of the global Legal function, leveraging technology solutions, data analytics, and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Design, optimize, and support legal systems and workflows to improve productivity and decision-making.
Partner with legal and business leaders to gather requirements and translate them into system and process solutions.
Translate high-level requirements into detailed user stories, process flows, and test plans for solution delivery.
Configure and integrate legal technology platforms such as ServiceNow, CLM, Salesforce, and AI tools.
Develop and maintain metrics, dashboards, and reports to monitor legal operations and support data-driven decisions.
Create and execute change management plans, including training and documentation, to drive adoption of new tools and processes.
Manage and prioritize system enhancement and defect backlogs, coordinate issue resolution with IT and vendors.
Requirements
Minimum of 4 years of experience in Business Systems Analysis, Business Operations, or Program Management in a technology driven environment.
Proven track record translating business requirements into system designs, user stories, and testable acceptance criteria.
Experience with one or more of the following platforms: ServiceNow (ideally Legal Service Delivery or other G A modules), Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) or matter management platforms, Salesforce or other enterprise SaaS platforms, Knowledge management and AI-enabled workflows such as search, summarization, drafting, classification.
Strong process design and documentation skills, including experience with BPMN or similar methodologies, running workshops, mapping current and future state processes, and identifying automation opportunities.
Solid data and analytics skills, including ability to define KPIs, design dashboards, interrogate data for trends and root causes, and experience with modern analytics tools such as Snowflake for data warehousing and Tableau for visualization.
Experience working in cross-functional, matrixed organizations with IT, Finance, HR, Sales Operations, or similar partners.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for attorneys, executives, technical teams, and end users.
Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Familiarity with change management frameworks such as Prosci ADKAR and training design.
Experience supporting or implementing AI automation initiatives in a controlled, governance-driven way.
Benefits & Perks
Salary range: $89,000 - $189,000 USD depending on location and experience
Work environment: primarily in-office at Santa Clara, CA or Lehi, UT
