Job Description
A BI Data Analyst responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining dashboards, reports, and data models to deliver actionable insights, working closely with stakeholders to support data-driven decision-making in a fast-paced, remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using BI tools to deliver actionable insights.
- Gather reporting requirements from stakeholders and translate them into scalable BI solutions.
- Write and optimize advanced SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
- Contribute to the design and evolution of data models, semantic layers, and data pipelines.
- Participate in architectural discussions and promote best practices in data visualization, governance, and security.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and reliability through validation and testing of dashboards and underlying data.
Requirements
- Experience designing and evolving scalable business intelligence solutions, including data models, semantic layers, and reporting frameworks.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and working with large-scale data in cloud data warehouse or lakehouse environments such as BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, or similar.
- Experience building and maintaining robust dashboards and reporting systems using modern BI tools such as Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
- Strong understanding of data modeling and transformation practices such as ETL, ELT, dimensional modeling, and their impact on performance and usability.
- Experience contributing to cloud-based data architecture and analytics workflows, including defining and improving best practices.
- Ability to establish and uphold data quality, governance, and reliability standards.
- Ability to translate complex business needs into data solutions and communicate insights clearly across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proficiency in writing and optimizing advanced SQL queries to support data extraction, transformation, and analysis across large datasets, ensuring high performance and scalability of reporting solutions.
- Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining complex, interactive dashboards and self-service reports using BI tools such as Looker, Power BI, Tableau to surface sensitive data and deliver actionable insights.
- Experience working closely with product owners, business stakeholders, customers, and end users to gather detailed reporting requirements and translate them into scalable BI solutions.
- Experience contributing to the design and evolution of data models and semantic layers, and collaborating with data engineering to define and improve data pipelines and transformations.
- Experience acting as a senior contributor in BI development, participating in architectural discussions and driving best practices in data visualization, governance, and security.
- Experience ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and reliability by implementing validation and testing approaches across dashboards, reports, and underlying data.
- Ability to work in an in-office environment at the Prague office in compliance with company policies.
