The Associate Finance Consultant role involves creating financial models and translating technical data into compelling economic narratives to demonstrate the ROI and strategic value of data center solutions, supporting sales and customer decision-making in a hybrid work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Build and own financial models to calculate TCO, ROI, and NPV for customer investments
Partner with stakeholders to identify and measure key value levers such as cost savings and operational improvements
Conduct structured interviews and data collection to align solutions with business priorities
Enhance reusable benchmarks and modeling templates to improve value-selling efficiency
Translate technical performance metrics into clear commercial summaries for executive decision-makers
Requirements
Proficiency in financial modeling using Google Sheets and Excel, with the ability to manage complex datasets, validate assumptions, and structure clear, logical cash-flow and P&L formats.
Strong grasp of core economic concepts such as ROI, CAPEX, OPEX structures, and cloud economics, with the ability to connect infrastructure decisions to bottom-line business outcomes.
Experience in building and owning comprehensive financial models that calculate TCO, ROI, and NPV, ensuring every customer investment is backed by transparent, audit-ready data.
Ability to partner with customer stakeholders in Finance and IT to identify and measure key value levers such as power cooling reduction, increased developer productivity, and mitigated downtime risks.
Experience in leading structured interviews and data collection workstreams to uncover insights that align solutions with specific executive business priorities.
Ability to enhance and utilize libraries of reusable benchmarks and modeling templates to improve the efficiency and accuracy of value-selling efforts.
Skill in translating technical performance metrics into clear commercial language, delivering executive-level summaries that simplify complex purchasing decisions for C-suite stakeholders.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in distilling technical and financial data into persuasive narratives for diverse audiences, including systems engineers and CFOs.
Proven track record of managing multiple project timelines simultaneously with high attention to detail in governance and version control within a fast-paced environment.
Educational background or experience demonstrating professional discipline in project management and data governance.
Legal authorization to work in the United States, as the role is based in Raleigh, North Carolina, New York, or Chicago, with a hybrid work requirement involving regular in-office presence.
