Job Description
The IT System Support Specialist will troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to computer systems, software, hardware, and networks while providing user support and training. This role offers a hybrid work schedule and involves configuring IT equipment for new employees and participating in system planning and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, identify and resolve escalated help desk tickets related to computer systems, software, hardware, servers, phone systems, and networks
- Coordinate basic troubleshooting of incoming queries and issues with other staff
- Monitor and process cases in first-in first-out priority
- Follow up with users to ensure issues have been resolved
- Provide documentation for help desk ticket resolutions
- Identify technical issues and create documentation for future resolutions
- Ensure proper entry of employees into systems with appropriate access and workflows
- Provide local and remote user support and training
- Perform maintenance tasks on computer systems, servers, phone systems, and networks
- Configure and set up IT equipment for new employees
- Participate in planning and forecasting for software and hardware system needs
Requirements
- Associates degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or Information Technology required.
- Valid state issued driver's license with acceptable driving record.
- Approximately 10% travel to company sites required, which could include overnight stays.
- Knowledge and ability to understand and operate network functions, operating systems, and software applications such as the Microsoft 365 Office Suite, Windows, iOS, and Active Directory.
