Job Description
The Post Install Manager oversees the completion and activation of solar installation projects, manages customer and team activities, ensures compliance with permits and utility requirements, and provides leadership and support to the post-installation team to deliver quality solar solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and complete post-installation projects from release to utility approval
- Manage all activities and customer requirements from installation completion to activation
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for the post-install process
- Coordinate with municipalities, utilities, and subcontractors to ensure inspections, permits, and interconnection agreements are secured and completed timely
- Schedule and oversee system activations and final inspections
- Maintain communication with customers throughout the process
- Manage and support the post-install team through recruitment, training, and performance management
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a related field; experience in the solar industry strongly preferred.
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to coach, develop, and manage a team.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, etc.) preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
- Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM systems is a plus.
- Working knowledge of solar energy systems, permitting, and utility processes preferred.
- Willingness to complete all steps of the pre-employment screening process.
- Ability to work in a variety of extreme environmental conditions such as high heat and cold temperatures.
- Must be willing and able to climb ladders, ascend and descend stairs, work on rooftops of multi-level buildings, and within confined spaces such as attics.
- Regularly required to speak and hear.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, and reach with hands and arms.
- Capable of lifting up to 50-70 pounds.
- Occasionally need to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Vision requirements include the ability to focus at close and long distances, distinguish colors, maintain peripheral awareness, perceive depth, and make precise focus adjustments.
