Job Description
The Construction Manager at PosiGen oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of solar panel installation projects, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency while managing teams, budgets, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee planning, coordination, and execution of solar panel installation projects
- Manage construction teams and subcontractors, providing direction and support
- Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment
- Monitor project budgets and expenses, identifying cost savings and efficiencies
- Ensure compliance with building codes, zoning regulations, and legal requirements
- Coordinate with engineering and design teams to meet project specifications
- Source materials and equipment needed for projects through procurement collaboration
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including reports, permits, and inspection records
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
- Previous experience in construction management, preferably in the solar energy industry.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and codes, such as OSHA and NEC.
- Experience managing construction projects from planning to completion.
- Familiarity with construction management software and tools.
- Physical ability to work in a variety of extreme environmental conditions, e.g., high heat, cold temperatures.
- Willingness and ability to climb ladders, ascend and descend stairs, work on rooftops of multi-level buildings, and within confined spaces such as attics.
- Ability to speak and hear regularly during work activities.
- Ability to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, and reach with hands and arms frequently.
- Capability to lift up to 50-70 pounds.
- Ability to occasionally sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Vision requirements include the ability to focus at close and long distances, distinguish colors, maintain peripheral awareness, perceive depth, and make precise focus adjustments.
