Job Description
The role involves designing and supporting satellite-based solutions for government and civil clients across Germany and EMEA, focusing on customer engagement, technical proposal development, and regional market collaboration within the aerospace and remote sensing sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Design robust, scalable satellite-based solutions for customers in Germany and EMEA, translating customer needs into technical specifications and proposals.
- Support strategic customer engagements from initial technical discussions through to solution definition, negotiation, and contracting.
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather and share customer feedback and technical requirements to inform product development and service offerings.
- Provide technical expertise and input to European supply chain and manufacturing strategy, including evaluating technical feasibility and requirements.
- Act as a technical liaison between the EMEA market and internal teams to ensure clear communication and alignment on project requirements.
Requirements
- Proficient in both German and English, with written and verbal communication skills in each language.
- Solid experience in designing or delivering technical solutions for customers, with experience working with and understanding the needs of the German government and specifically the German Bundeswehr.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Aerospace, Systems, Software, Physics, Remote Sensing, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Six (6) years of experience in a client-facing technical role such as Solutions Architect, Systems Engineer, or Technical Pre-Sales within the space, aerospace, defense, remote sensing, or a related high-technology industry.
- Good understanding of satellite systems, constellation services, or geospatial data and their applications.
- Industry knowledge in aerospace or remote sensing is essential.
- Willingness and ability to travel across the EMEA region as required to support customer engagements.
- Experience in managing aerospace supply chains or involvement in satellite testing, assembly, or manufacturing is a plus.
- Eligible for US Export Control licenses such as ITAR and EAR, with the ability to access export-controlled information without additional export licensing.
- The position requires access to export-controlled information, and employment or hiring is contingent upon the candidate’s ability to access all applicable export-controlled information.
