Job Description
This role involves building and scaling backend systems to support an AI Geospatial Assistant that processes global imagery, enabling users to access complex insights through an intuitive interface. The position focuses on developing high-performance, reliable, and scalable AI infrastructure for geospatial data analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and optimize backend systems for AI Geospatial Assistant, ensuring high throughput, low latency, and reliability at a global scale
- Architect AI orchestration and develop high-scale systems for LLM workflows and agentic processes
- Collaborate with research teams to transition experimental AI models into stable, production-ready inference endpoints
- Implement production-grade monitoring, logging, and tracing for AI services to ensure system reliability and facilitate debugging
- Define performance benchmarks and success criteria for AI models to ensure superior performance over baseline LLMs
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in computer science or an equivalent field
- 4 years of experience building and scaling high-performance backend systems in Python and/or Go
- Proficiency in AWS or GCP, including experience with Infrastructure as Code Terraform and CI/CD pipelines for high-availability services
- Solid familiarity with LLM orchestration frameworks such as LangChain and LlamaIndex, including knowledge of building reliable agents, handling retries, and managing state
- Proficiency with vector search pipelines and high-performance distributed computing
