Planet designs, builds, and operates the largest constellation of imaging satellites in history.
Key Responsibilities
- As a Logistics Manager at Planet, you will be a critical member of our Ground Stations Operations Team, playing a central role in the delivery and operational excellence of our geographically diverse Ground Station network. You will own the end-to-end supply chain logistics, ensuring the seamless movement of essential equipment to support our satellite constellation. You will partner closely with internal teams, including IT, ITC, and mission control, to optimize our network performance and drive operational readiness. Ideal candidates bring a background in supply chain management and a drive for continuous improvement.
- This is a full-time, in-office position based in our San Francisco office 5 days per week.
Requirements
- 4+ years of relevant supply chain or logistics experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline
- Basic programming - scripting and data analysis
- Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time
- Ability to work with little or no supervision
- Experience with task prioritization and organizational management
- Lean Six Sigma Experience
- ASCM CPIM, CSCP or CLTD certification not required but beneficial
- Experience with Bash, Python or other scripting or object-oriented languages
- Experience with Linux or UNIX servers, IP Networks or previous Aerospace experience
- This position requires access to export-controlled information, and as such, employment (or hiring of a contractor) is contingent upon the candidate’s ability to access all applicable export-controlled information without additional export licensing being required by the Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.
