Job Description
A Data Analyst at Planet is responsible for developing and maintaining data pipelines, creating data models, and analyzing geospatial and enterprise data to improve satellite performance, user experience, and business strategies. The role involves building data products, visualizations, and self-service tools to support decision-making across the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve data pipelines
- Build data models to transform business problems into actionable metrics
- Analyze and visualize data to inform product, business, or operational decisions
- Develop self-service data tooling and insights for decision-making
- Collaborate with Data Scientists, Analysts, and Engineers through discussions and code reviews
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with SQL and Python for data cleaning, aggregation, and analytics.
- Familiarity with git or other version control systems.
- Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform or other enterprise cloud systems.
- Reliability and accuracy in analytics work.
- Experience working in a dynamic environment.
- Good organizational skills, with the ability to execute multiple projects.
- Ability to collaborate across teams.
- Fluent in written and spoken English, the language of the company.
