Job Description
The role involves managing and expanding relationships with government clients across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa to help them utilize Planet's satellite imagery and geospatial data for environmental monitoring, emergency response, and other critical applications, ensuring customer success and driving adoption of Planet's solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and expand relationships with government customers across Europe, Middle East, and Africa.
- Ensure customers effectively integrate Planet's imagery and geospatial solutions into their workflows.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for account expansion, renewals, and upselling.
- Facilitate customer training, onboarding, and best practices for using Planet data.
- Advocate for customer feedback to inform product enhancements and feature development.
- Collaborate with sales, product, and marketing teams to support customer needs and develop case studies.
- Develop long-term strategic plans aligned with customer policy goals, project timelines, and budgets.
- Coordinate with international customers and internal teams to manage multiple accounts and projects.
Requirements
- Six (6) years of experience in Customer Success, account management or similar roles, ideally supporting government organizations as a customer.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Advanced working knowledge of remote sensing, GIS or geospatial imagery products.
- Ability to develop long-term strategic plans for each customer that align with their policy goals, project timelines, and budget cycles.
- Solid organizational skills to manage multiple customers at once, prioritize tasks, and keep projects on track.
- Ability to successfully communicate and coordinate with international customers and sales teams.
- Solid problem solving skills, proactive work style and ability to work independently.
- Ability to translate customer challenges into solutions using Planet’s data and services.
- Fluency in English, the language of the company, including excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to travel.
- Experience with platforms like ArcGIS, QGIS, or Google Earth Engine (preferred but not mandatory).
- Working proficiency in another European language such as German or Arabic (preferred but not mandatory).
- Previous Program Project Management experience (preferred but not mandatory).
- Experience with Public Procurement and Tender Processes (preferred but not mandatory).
