Job Description
The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced security systems to protect Planet's data and infrastructure from cyber threats, ensuring secure global operations through automation, threat management, and security policy development.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain security systems to protect data and infrastructure from cyber threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and respond to security incidents
- Manage and support security-related systems such as log collection, security scanning, and intrusion detection
- Create and automate security processes using APIs, Shell, PowerShell, or Okta Workflows
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure security measures are effective and compliant
- Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation for security incident response
Requirements
- Own 2 years of experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining security systems, conducting vulnerability assessments, responding to incidents, developing security policies, and monitoring networks.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Maintain day-to-day security threat management.
- Manage and support log collection, security scanning, intrusion detection, and other security-related systems.
- Ability to create and build automations via API, Shell, Powershell, or Okta Workflows.
- Experience with EDR, vulnerability scanners, SIEMs, MDM, and other common security tools.
- Knowledge of cloud security best practices and authentication standards.
- Knowledge of operating system internals, and a core competency in one of the following: Identity and Access, Infrastructure Hardening macOS, Windows, Linux, ChromeOS, SaaS Security, and Assurance and validation.
- Solid hands-on experience with Okta administration, workflows, and identity management.
- Proficiency in macOS, Linux, Windows, Google Workspace, Okta, and Crowdstrike.
- Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders while prioritizing tasks and work independently under minimal supervision.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation performing security incident response.
- Experience with vulnerability scanners, SIEMs, MDM, and other common security tools.
- Knowledge of operating system internals and core competencies in one of the following areas: Identity and Access, Infrastructure Hardening, macOS, Windows, Linux, ChromeOS, SaaS Security, and Assurance and validation.
- Skilled at mentoring, simplifying technical concepts for non-technical audiences, and influencing decisions.
- Experience in Corporate Security domains such as Corporate Identity, Endpoint Security, Data Loss Prevention, Device Trust, SaaS Security, and Zero Trust.
- Ability to develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with industry regulations and frameworks.
