Job Description
The Director, Emerging Markets will lead the development of renewable energy projects in emerging markets, overseeing the entire project lifecycle from concept to execution while collaborating with various teams to validate and scale market opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead early-stage project development for selected market opportunities.
- Conduct site diligence, permitting, and interconnection for renewable energy projects.
- Collaborate with Market Strategy and Project Development Execution teams to test and scale emerging market opportunities.
- Launch renewable energy projects from concept to execution in emerging markets.
- Work with engineering, structured finance, and community engagement teams to develop buildable projects.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a project developer in renewable energy, specifically in emerging markets.
- Demonstrated ability to launch renewable energy projects from concept to execution.
- Experience in early-stage project development processes, including site diligence, permitting, and interconnection.
- Strong project development skills to grow project concepts into buildable projects.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, structured finance, and community engagement teams.
- Strategic thinking skills to identify and validate emerging market opportunities.
