Job Description
The internship offers hands-on experience in financial operations within an MGA, including financial reporting, system transitions, and data reconciliation, providing exposure to underwriting, finance, and strategic decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Support financial system transitions by migrating data and files between platforms.
- Organize and process invoices, remit payments to carriers, and update monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Update and maintain financial documents including profit and loss statements, production planning files, and financial projections.
- Participate in end-of-month program results calls with leadership to observe performance reviews and strategic decision-making.
- Input payments and reconcile financial data across multiple programs and entities.
Requirements
- Current student or recent graduate in Finance, Risk Management, Business, Economics or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools is a plus.
- Interest in insurance underwriting and financial operations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
