Job Description
The internship involves supporting underwriting operations, analyzing rental and equipment dealer programs, and gaining hands-on experience in insurance underwriting, claims analysis, and market strategies within a dynamic MGA environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support underwriting operations by reviewing and processing endorsements, issuance, and rating setup.
- Utilize IMS system for data storage and perform system-related tasks proficiently.
- Review prior-year files for Loss Control reports and MVR follow-up.
- Assess rental accounts without inventory lists and prepare reports to measure improvements.
- Participate in property lookup for rate determination and data entry in rating systems.
- Collaborate with rental leadership to develop and track state strategy systems for leads.
- Compare Inland Marine details and financial statements in existing files with underwriting.
- Analyze workers' compensation claims to understand claim status and reserve outlook.
- Profile large workers' compensation claims within the Service American program.
Requirements
- Current student or recent graduate in Risk Management, Finance, Business, or related field.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with IMS and Origami systems is a plus.
