This role involves building and managing the supply chain for a fast-scaling hardware program focused on renewable ocean energy technologies, including evaluating suppliers, developing sourcing strategies, and ensuring manufacturing continuity.
Key Responsibilities
Own the make-vs-buy evaluation and decision process for manufactured assemblies and components.
Build and maintain relationships with key vendors, suppliers, and contractor partners in the Pacific Northwest.
Create and manage a supply chain scaling roadmap aligned with manufacturing ramp plans.
Develop business continuity plans for critical materials and components to prevent single points of failure.
Evaluate, qualify, and audit suppliers and contract partners through capability assessments and onsite visits.
Serve as the primary decision-maker for structured supply chain decisions, ensuring clarity and alignment across teams.
Requirements
Eight (8) years of experience working in supply chain organizations for manufactured products.
Three (3) years of experience developing roadmaps and driving strategic planning in supply chain or related fields.
Demonstrated experience evaluating suppliers, vendors, and contract partners for manufacturing activities.
Experience sourcing raw materials, components, and assemblies for manufactured products.
Experience with relevant data systems used in supply chain management.
Familiarity with structured decision-making tools such as DACI and BVOA frameworks.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Willingness to travel to vendors and supplier sites as needed.
Ability to work on-site with the team in engineering, manufacturing, and operations.
