Job Description
This role involves building and managing the supply chain for a fast-scaling hardware program focused on renewable ocean energy technologies, including evaluating suppliers, developing sourcing strategies, and ensuring manufacturing continuity.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the make-vs-buy evaluation and decision process for manufactured assemblies and components.
- Build and maintain relationships with key vendors, suppliers, and contractor partners in the Pacific Northwest.
- Create and manage a supply chain scaling roadmap aligned with manufacturing ramp plans.
- Develop business continuity plans for critical materials and components to prevent single points of failure.
- Evaluate, qualify, and audit suppliers and contract partners through capability assessments and onsite visits.
- Serve as the primary decision-maker for structured supply chain decisions, ensuring clarity and alignment across teams.
Requirements
- Eight (8) years of experience working in supply chain organizations for manufactured products.
- Three (3) years of experience developing roadmaps and driving strategic planning in supply chain or related fields.
- Demonstrated experience evaluating suppliers, vendors, and contract partners for manufacturing activities.
- Experience sourcing raw materials, components, and assemblies for manufactured products.
- Experience with relevant data systems used in supply chain management.
- Familiarity with structured decision-making tools such as DACI and BVOA frameworks.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Willingness to travel to vendors and supplier sites as needed.
- Ability to work on-site with the team in engineering, manufacturing, and operations.
