The role involves managing procurement activities for a renewable ocean energy company, including sourcing strategies, supplier relationships, and supply chain coordination to ensure timely delivery of components and materials for complex projects.
Key Responsibilities
Develop sourcing strategies and execute procurement activities
Lead negotiations with suppliers
Manage the preparation, issuance, and lifecycle of purchase orders
Coordinate with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to source components according to technical specifications and project timelines
Perform price and cost analysis to ensure competitive pricing
Create and maintain a centralized supplier repository with contract and contact information
Identify and resolve material shortages, pricing discrepancies, and supply chain issues
Manage supplier relationships to ensure performance aligns with program milestones and quality standards
Requirements
Three years of procurement experience in a high-complexity manufacturing environment.
In-depth understanding of procurement processes and supply chain management.
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
