The Electrical Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining electrical systems to support large-scale renewable energy operations in harsh ocean environments, ensuring reliable power delivery, safety, and scalability across facilities.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop electrical infrastructure for facilities, including upgrades and new build-outs
Develop strategies to scale megawatt-scale power capacity using traditional and hybrid approaches
Coordinate with utilities and partners to shape power delivery strategies and translate load requirements into infrastructure plans
Diagnose and resolve power quality issues, failures, and system risks
Create and maintain electrical system documentation, standards, and design criteria
Lead early-stage electrical design, integrating power delivery with site constraints
Manage electrical installation, oversee contractors, and ensure quality and safety during construction and commissioning
Conduct power system analysis, load studies, and develop capacity plans
Own and ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and support inspections and incident investigations
Develop and improve electrical specifications, standards, and documentation practices
Requirements
Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
5 to 10 years of experience in industrial, manufacturing, or R&D environments
Experience with medium-voltage systems, utility interconnection, or large power upgrades
Strong background in electrical distribution systems and load calculations
Ability to develop and interpret electrical drawings and system models
Experience leading contractors and driving execution
Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis capability
Working knowledge of electrical safety standards NEC, NFPA 70E, OSHA
