Job Description
This role involves leading corporate development activities, including M&A strategy, deal sourcing, due diligence, valuation, and post-acquisition integration, to support the company's growth in the clean energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Refine and support the company's M&A strategy in collaboration with senior executives
- Lead development of recommendations and align internal stakeholders on corporate development projects
- Drive deal sourcing through relationships with external and internal stakeholders
- Evaluate potential acquisition targets using strategic and financial analysis
- Manage end-to-end deal execution, including due diligence, valuation, negotiation, and approvals
- Build and maintain complex financial and operational models for business case evaluation
- Develop tracking and analytics to monitor strategic deal drivers during and after execution
- Lead strategic integration planning and value extraction activities post-acquisition
- Support finance functions with financial analysis, investor relations, and quarterly earnings preparation
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required
- At least 3 years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, M&A, private equity, or venture capital
- Experience with end-to-end M&A transactions, including sourcing, evaluating inorganic growth opportunities, and driving the target evaluation process
- Exceptional financial modeling and valuation skills, with deep knowledge of accounting and corporate finance principles
- Strong project management skills and proven ability to lead cross-functional teams
- Ability to develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders as well as external CEOs and founders, and build presence across functional teams
- Extremely motivated leader with excellent communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong business acumen, attention to detail, and strategic and creative thinking
- Resilient self-starter who is comfortable pivoting often and learning continuously
