Job Description
The Solar Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, testing, repairing, and installing equipment at solar power plants, ensuring safe and efficient operation while adhering to standards and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, troubleshoot, test, repair, and install equipment in solar power plants according to standards and procedures
- Operate and perform maintenance on solar power plants, ensuring safety and professionalism
- Troubleshoot system problems and resolve issues promptly
- Conduct electrical testing and inspections using appropriate tools
- Document work activities, including work orders, service logs, and emergency schedules
- Manage inventory of equipment to ensure adequate stock levels
- Ensure high quality control of tools, vehicles, and materials
- Train, mentor, and develop laborers and apprentices
Requirements
- Valid Driver's License
- Minimum of 3 years suitable employment experience in a related field
- High aptitude and a strong work ethic
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to perform basic electrical calculations, read and interpret electrical schematics
- Ability to manage priorities and workflow, working independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to perform necessary physical activity, including lifting up to 80 Lbs
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
