Job Description

The Solar Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, testing, repairing, and installing equipment at solar power plants, ensuring safe and efficient operations while adhering to standards and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain, troubleshoot, test, repair, and install equipment in solar power plants according to standards and procedures
Operate and perform daily inspections of solar power systems
Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical system problems using diagnostic tools
Document work activities, including work orders, service logs, and emergency information
Manage inventory of equipment to ensure adequate stock levels
Ensure safety and professionalism during all operations and maintenance activities
Train, mentor, and develop laborers and apprentices
Perform physical activities such as lifting up to 80 lbs as required

Requirements

Valid Driver's License
At least 3 years suitable employment experience in a related field
High aptitude and a strong work ethic
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to perform basic electrical calculations, read and interpret electrical schematics
Ability to manage priorities and workflow, working independently with minimal supervision
Ability to perform necessary physical activity, including lifting up to 80 Lbs
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
