Job Description
The Solar Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, testing, repairing, and installing equipment in solar power plants, ensuring safe and efficient operation while adhering to standards and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, troubleshoot, test, repair, and install equipment in solar power plants following established standards and safety protocols
- Perform daily mechanical and electrical inspections of solar equipment
- Troubleshoot system problems using diagnostic tools and resolve issues promptly
- Document work activities, including work orders, service logs, and emergency reports
- Manage inventory levels of equipment and tools to ensure availability
- Train, mentor, and develop laborers and apprentices
- Ensure safety and professionalism during all operations and maintenance activities
Requirements
- Valid Driver's License
- At least 3 years suitable employment experience in a related field
- High aptitude and a strong work ethic
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to perform basic electrical calculations, read and interpret electrical schematics
- Ability to manage priorities and workflow, working independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to perform necessary physical activity, including lifting up to 80 Lbs
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Benefits & Perks
Compensation/salary range: $25 - $45 per hour
Work schedule: May require working on weekends and holidays, including on-call service availability
