Job Description
A Roofer's mate role within a growing Solar PV installation team, supporting the installation of solar panels and low-carbon technology across the UK to promote renewable energy and fight climate change.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation of Solar PV systems on rooftops
- Support the lead roofer in ensuring proper roofing and mounting of solar panels
- Prepare and handle roofing materials and tools for installation tasks
- Ensure safety procedures are followed during installation activities
- Help maintain a clean and organized work site
Requirements
- Experience as a Roofer or Roofer's mate, specifically in Solar PV installation or similar roofing work
- Ability to assist with the installation of Solar PV systems on UK homes
- Willingness to work across various locations in the UK as part of a mobile installation team
- Physical ability to perform roofing tasks, including working at heights, lifting materials, and manual handling
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures related to roofing and solar panel installation
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-growing, dynamic environment
- Commitment to providing high levels of customer service and assisting customers with their solar installations
