Job Description
A Roofer's mate role within a growing Solar PV installation team, supporting the installation of solar panels and low-carbon technology to help promote renewable energy and combat climate change across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation of Solar PV systems on rooftops
- Support the lead roofer in ensuring proper roofing and mounting of solar panels
- Help maintain safety standards during installation processes
- Prepare roofing surfaces and materials for solar panel installation
- Assist with site cleanup and equipment organization post-installation
Requirements
- Experience as a Roofer or Roofer's mate, specifically with Solar PV installation, or equivalent experience in roofing and solar panel installation
- Ability to assist with the installation of Solar PV systems across the UK
- Willingness to work across various locations in the UK as part of a UK-wide team
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including working at heights and handling roofing materials and equipment
- Good understanding of health and safety procedures related to roofing and solar panel installation
- Ability to follow technical instructions and work as part of a team to complete installation projects
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills sufficient to understand installation instructions and safety guidelines
