Job Description
The Platform Manager at Octopus Energy Generation is responsible for overseeing and maximizing the value of the company's renewable energy development portfolio across Europe, working closely with developers and stakeholders to support project development from early stages to ready-to-build, and ensuring successful investment outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maximize the value of renewable energy development projects across Europe from early stage land acquisition to ready-to-build phase.
- Collaborate with developers to deliver investment cases and support project development in changing market conditions.
- Support decision-making and value creation for portfolio companies by providing data-driven insights and clear communication to senior stakeholders.
- Lead on project exits and oversee the development journey to ensure successful project completion and portfolio growth.
Requirements
- The candidate must be very commercially minded and understand renewables development.
- The candidate must love data and be able to communicate clearly with the team and senior stakeholders.
- The candidate must support board directors and fund managers in decision making and value creation for portfolio companies.
- The candidate must be in charge of value maximisation of projects through their development journey from early stage to ready to build and lead on exits.
- The candidate must have experience in delivering development investments in renewable energy projects across multiple countries, spanning different maturity stages from early stage land to ready to build.
- The candidate must have the ability to support decision making and value creation for portfolio companies.
- The candidate must be able to work an average of 3 days in the office per week in London.
