Job Description
A Dual Fuel Smart Meter Engineer responsible for installing and demonstrating smart meters in customers' homes, providing energy-saving advice, and ensuring excellent customer service as part of the Octopus Energy Services team.
Key Responsibilities
- Install dual fuel smart meters in customers' homes
- Demonstrate how meters and in-home displays work to customers
- Explain energy-saving benefits and answer customer questions about green energy
- Ensure safety and customer service excellence during installations
Requirements
- Experience as a smart meter engineer with a track record of safety and customer excellence.
- Ability to represent the company's brands in customers' homes and communicate effectively with customers.
- Willingness to install dual fuel smart meters and demonstrate how the meter and in-home display work.
- Ability to explain to customers how their meter and in-home display can help them save energy and answer questions about green energy initiatives.
- Comfortable engaging with customers and providing excellent customer service during installations.
- Ability to work as part of the Octopus Energy Services team, supporting company performance goals and delivering top-class service.
- Willingness to adapt to evolving processes and technologies to improve efficiency and service quality.
- Availability to complete the onboarding process, which typically takes up to 4 weeks, with flexibility as needed.
- Ability to communicate with the recruitment team throughout the hiring process and ask questions as needed.
- Possession of the necessary tools and environment to perform the job effectively (implied, as the company provides support).
