The Director of External Affairs at the Centre for Net Zero will lead external engagement with policymakers, industry, and innovators to promote energy transition policies and enhance the institute's reputation as a global authority on flexible energy systems and decarbonisation.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and shape CNZ's external engagement with policymakers, regulators, industry stakeholders, grid operators, and innovators.
Enhance CNZ's influence and elevate its institutional profile in the energy sector.
Promote the adoption of evidence-based energy transition policies and practices.
Manage CNZ's reputation as a global authority on flexible energy systems, innovation-driven energy change, and decarbonisation pathways.
Requirements
Ability to work from CNZ’s central London office, with occasional travel to other locations in the UK and internationally; remote working is not offered.
Experience in leading and shaping external interfaces with policymakers, regulators, industry, grid players, and innovators to maximise influence and elevate institutional profile.
Proven ability to accelerate the adoption of evidence-based energy transition policy and practice.
Experience in managing and maintaining CNZ’s reputation as a trusted, global authority on flexible energy systems, innovation-driven energy systems change, and accelerated decarbonisation pathways.
Reporting to the Chief Executive of CNZ.
