Job Description

The Program Manager, Planning Scheduling at Nexamp is responsible for managing project schedules throughout the full lifecycle of renewable energy projects, optimizing efficiency, coordinating teams, and ensuring timely delivery to support the company's mission of building a clean energy future.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage project schedules throughout the full lifecycle from development to final completion for distributed generation, commercial industrial, and utility-scale solar projects.
  • Communicate portfolio progress, including schedule, budget, and key metrics, to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Hire, coach, and manage schedulers, setting expectations and driving team performance and growth.
  • Integrate individual project schedules into a master schedule, resolving conflicts and dependencies proactively.
  • Standardize schedule templates, workflows, and data across platforms to ensure accuracy and alignment with SOPs and KPIs.
  • Perform critical path analysis, identify risks, and provide reports and recommendations to optimize project timelines.
  • Identify inefficiencies and lead cross-functional initiatives to improve scheduling practices and processes.

Requirements

  • 7 years of relevant experience across project execution and data optimization in construction management
  • Prior experience in a renewables industry is preferred
  • Working knowledge of various areas of construction including civil construction, electrical construction, and utility construction
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience
  • Extensive knowledge of P6 Primavera scheduling software
  • Knowledge of Procore, Sigma, P6 interface, or equivalent scheduling and construction management tools
  • Ability to manage project schedules for the full lifecycle of a project from Development to Final Completion on distributed generation (DG), commercial industrial (CI), and Utility Scale solar portfolio
  • Ability to manage and communicate portfolio progress against schedule, budget, and key metrics to leadership and stakeholders
  • Experience in hiring, coaching, and managing Schedulers and Senior Schedulers, setting expectations, and driving performance and growth
  • Experience performing critical path analysis, identifying risks, and providing reports and recommendations to optimize timelines and improve delivery outcomes
  • Ability to identify inefficiencies and process gaps and lead cross-functional initiatives to improve scheduling practices, processes, and execution
  • Demonstrated experience in effectively communicating information, ideas, and perspectives with people inside and beyond the organization
  • Experience in showcasing initiative to improve current work, processes, products, and services across the organization
  • Ability to ask appropriate questions, analyze data, identify root causes of problems, and present creative solutions
  • Expertise in building strong internal and external relationships with customers and stakeholders, instilling trust and loyalty
  • Eagerness to develop a fundamental understanding of how Nexamp operates and apply that knowledge to inform business decisions
