Job Description
The Finance Manager at Nexamp is responsible for developing financial models related to working capital, supporting investor reporting, evaluating strategic initiatives, and assisting with budgeting and reforecasting to drive business performance in the clean energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and review enterprise-level cash flow models for scenario planning and liquidity management
- Evaluate strategic initiatives such as capital raises, acquisitions, and investments through financial modeling
- Prepare investor reporting deliverables and support financial due diligence
- Assist in corporate budgeting and reforecasting, focusing on working capital impacts
- Analyze financial model results to improve business unit performance
- Identify and implement process improvements, including reports, tools, and dashboards
- Collaborate with teams to drive business outcomes and develop financial presentations for executives and investors
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
- At least 4 years of experience in Finance or Accounting, or relevant work experience
- Experience in building and reviewing enterprise-level cash flow models to assist in scenario planning and proactively manage short-term and long-term liquidity
- Experience in evaluating strategic initiatives such as capital raises, acquisitions, and other corporate investments by preparing financial models and summarizing results for senior leadership and investors
- Experience in preparing investor reporting deliverables and addressing project and corporate investor financial diligence
- Experience in corporate budgeting and reforecasting processes with a focus on working capital impacts from construction and development activities, including developing new inputs and forecasting methods
- Ability to aggregate data and analyze results of financial models to aid business unit partners and improve overall company performance
- Ability to identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and dashboards
- Ability to develop and update executive and investor-facing presentations on financial performance
- Ability to perform ad hoc reporting as needed to support the executive team
- Demonstrated effective communication skills to convey information, ideas, and perspectives within and outside the organization
- Proven initiative to make improvements to current work, processes, products, and services across the organization
- Strong sense of accountability and ownership mentality
- Ability to ask appropriate questions, analyze data, identify root causes of problems, and present creative solutions
- Expertise in building strong internal and external relationships with customers and stakeholders, instilling trust and loyalty
- Eagerness to develop a fundamental understanding of how Nexamp operates and apply that knowledge to inform business decisions
