Job Description

The role involves leading Nexamp's third-party residential sales partnerships, focusing on strategy, operational excellence, and compliance to drive growth in the clean energy sector, particularly community solar and renewable energy programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the strategy for Nexamp's residential sales vendor program.
  • Manage and optimize vendor relationships, including onboarding, training, and ongoing support.
  • Design and improve end-to-end operational processes for vendor management.
  • Implement systems, tools, and workflows to support vendor success and ensure compliance.
  • Monitor and report on vendor performance metrics such as sales conversion, quality, and compliance.
  • Lead quality assurance initiatives and enforce regulatory requirements for door-to-door sales.
  • Forecast sales, manage pipeline visibility, and plan vendor sales capacity.
  • Build and lead a team of Partner Managers and Community Engagement Associates.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of experience in vendor management, B2B partnerships, channel sales, or program management, with a minimum of 3 to 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of scaling and managing third-party vendor sales programs, particularly in residential door-to-door sales or B2B vendor programs.
  • Strong operational background with expertise in process design, systems implementation, and continuous improvement.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, with advanced ability to interpret data and generate insights using tools such as Excel and data analysis platforms.
  • Skilled in executive-level communication, negotiation, and vendor relationship management.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements for residential sales, ideally within energy, solar, or adjacent industries.
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM systems and advanced data analysis tools is preferred.
  • Experience managing large-scale door-to-door or B2B vendor programs is preferred.
  • Background in community solar or renewable energy industries is preferred.
  • Program management certification or formal process improvement training such as Lean Six Sigma is preferred.
  • Experience managing third-party sales vendors, B2B sales partners, or subcontractors, particularly in the community solar industry, is preferred.
  • Experience creating or managing a vendor quality assurance program is preferred.
  • Program management experience with internal and external partners is preferred.
  • Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements for door-to-door sales is preferred.
  • Ability to build and maintain senior-level relationships with vendor leadership teams.
  • Ability to develop and maintain detailed process documentation and training resources.
  • Ability to establish, track, and report on key vendor performance metrics including sales conversion, quality, and compliance.
  • Experience in developing performance improvement plans and driving accountability.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify root causes of problems, and present creative solutions.
  • Strong internal and external relationship-building skills to foster trust and loyalty.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively within and outside the organization.
  • Commitment to Nexamp’s mission and a passion for solving climate change issues.
  • Ability to serve as a strategic partner and senior advisor on vendor strategy and operations.
  • Willingness to work in a hybrid environment out of Boston, MA.
