Job Description
The role involves leading and managing Nexamp's third-party residential sales vendor programs, focusing on strategy, operational excellence, compliance, and performance optimization to support the company's growth in the clean energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the strategy for Nexamp's residential sales vendor program.
- Manage and optimize vendor relationships, including onboarding, training, and ongoing support.
- Design and improve end-to-end operational processes for vendor management and performance tracking.
- Implement systems, tools, and workflows to support vendor success and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on vendor performance metrics such as sales conversion, quality, and compliance.
- Lead quality assurance initiatives, including issue resolution and verification processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve operational bottlenecks and improve processes.
- Forecast sales, manage pipeline visibility, and plan vendor sales capacity.
- Manage and mentor vendor management team members to build a high-performing team.
Requirements
- Eight (8) years of experience in vendor management, B2B partnerships, channel sales, or program management, with at least three (3) to five (5) (3-5) years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of scaling and managing third-party vendor sales programs.
- Strong operational background with expertise in process design, systems implementation, and continuous improvement.
- Exceptional analytical skills, with advanced ability to interpret data and generate insights.
- Skilled in executive-level communication, negotiation, and vendor relationship management.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements for residential sales, ideally within energy, solar, or adjacent industries.
- Experience with Salesforce and advanced Excel data analysis tools preferred.
- Experience managing large-scale door-to-door or B2B vendor programs is preferred.
- Background in community solar or renewable energy industries is preferred.
- Program management certification or formal process improvement training (e.g., Lean Six Sigma) is preferred.
- Experience managing third-party sales vendors, B2B sales partners, or subcontractors, particularly in the community solar industry, is preferred.
- Experience creating or managing a vendor quality assurance program is preferred.
- Program management experience with a variety of internal and/or external partners is preferred.
- Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements for door-to-door sales is preferred.
- Ability to build and maintain senior-level relationships with vendor leadership teams.
- Ability to develop and maintain detailed process documentation and training resources.
- Ability to identify and resolve operational bottlenecks in collaboration with cross-functional teams including Sales, Customer Experience, Legal, and Product.
- Ability to establish, track, and report on key vendor performance metrics such as sales conversion, quality, and compliance.
- Ability to develop and implement performance improvement plans and drive accountability.
- Experience leading quality assurance initiatives, including monitoring issue resolution, third-party verification processes, and trend reporting.
- Experience managing and mentoring teams, including Partner Managers and Community Engagement Associates, with a focus on building a high-performing team with a culture of accountability and collaboration.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including negotiating and building trust.
- Eagerness to develop a fundamental understanding of Nexamp’s operations and apply that knowledge to inform business decisions.
- Commitment to Nexamp’s mission and a passion for solving climate change issues.
- Ability to ask appropriate questions, analyze data, identify root causes of problems, and present creative solutions.
