Job Description
The Associate, Project Finance at Nexamp is responsible for supporting the financial modeling, risk management, and financing strategies of renewable energy projects, collaborating with various teams to grow and optimize Nexamp's portfolio in the clean energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute financial modeling initiatives to manage project and portfolio risk
- Partner with business units to inform strategic and tactical planning
- Mentor analysts in creating and enhancing complex financial models for renewable energy projects
- Support and collaborate on arranging, negotiating, and executing financing structures for project portfolios
- Work cross-functionally to optimize financing solutions with development, EPC, and community solar teams
- Develop value propositions based on financial incentive programs in target markets
- Represent the company professionally to investors, partners, and vendors
- Lead the creation of investment theses and value propositions for projects and investments
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Environmental Studies, or related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in solar project finance, capital markets, or related financial roles.
- Demonstrated experience in effectively communicating information, ideas, and perspectives with people inside and beyond the organization.
- Experience in showcasing initiative to make improvements to current work, processes, products, and services across the organization.
- Ability to ask appropriate questions, analyze data, identify the root causes of problems, and present creative solutions.
- Expertise in building strong internal and external relationships with customers and stakeholders, instilling trust and loyalty across the industry.
- Eagerness to develop a fundamental understanding of how Nexamp operates and then apply that knowledge effectively to inform business decisions.
