The Project Developer, EV Charging is responsible for identifying, developing, and securing locations for electric vehicle charging stations, managing stakeholder relationships, and pursuing funding opportunities to expand the company's EV infrastructure network across the U.S.
Key Responsibilities
Identify, evaluate, and secure high-quality EV charging sites through market research, outreach, and negotiations
Lead the pre-development, evaluation, and prioritization of land acquisition opportunities to maximize value
Coordinate with stakeholders such as attorneys, engineers, and utilities to secure permits and approvals
Manage the preparation and submission of proposals for incentive programs, grants, and funding opportunities
Build and maintain relationships with landowners, developers, and local authorities to support project development
Requirements
Proactive, agile, entrepreneurial mindset, well-suited to a fast-moving and rapidly scaling environment.
Enthusiasm for electric vehicles and a passion for accelerating the transition to a sustainable future.
Five (5) years of progressive commercial real estate experience in site selection and contract negotiations, with a strong preference for experience in EV charging, renewable energy, commercial real estate development, or similar infrastructure development.
Familiarity with real estate principles, markets, and concepts, including permitting procedures.
Demonstrated experience negotiating real estate contracts.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, including negotiation and project management skills.
Ability to work independently in a hybrid role with some travel.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Real Estate, Finance, Economics, Environmental Science, or a related field.
Technologically proficient, comfortable with data-driven decision-making, and able to quickly learn new software such as GIS tools and CRM.
