The Commercial Associate supports origination, market analysis, and commercial strategy for utility-scale renewable energy projects through financial modeling, market intelligence, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Own and maintain financial models related to PPAs, tolling agreements, hybrid solar-storage structures, and merchant revenue forecasts
Support the creation and organization of data rooms, marketing materials, Confidential Information Memorandums, and external presentations
Track and engage in communications with internal stakeholders, project buyers, and power offtakers
Contribute to modeling exercises including LCOE, RA ELCC analysis, and augmentation optimization
Collaborate on early-stage pipeline valuation with the Project Valuation Group
Assist in preparing and organizing legal transaction documents such as LOIs, PPAs, and MIPAs
Synthesize competitive intelligence on procurement trends, bid processes, and market dynamics
Maintain internal databases on PPA pricing, market participants, potential buyers, and regional policy drivers
Help build and refine proposal narratives, pricing strategies, and off-taker presentations
Requirements
Minimum 2 to 4 years experience working at a renewable energy Independent Power Producer (IPP) or developer, with a focus on financial modeling, origination, or M&A.
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.
Strong attention to detail and project management skills.
Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
