Job Description
The Security and Safety Manager is responsible for developing and implementing security, safety, and environmental procedures at cannabis cultivation and retail facilities, ensuring compliance with regulations, and fostering a proactive safety and security culture through employee engagement and training.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement daily security and safety functions for facilities
- Ensure compliance with federal and local legislation
- Develop and maintain SOPs related to safety, environmental issues, and security
- Drive the development of autonomous security and EHS culture
- Enforce security and EHS standard operating procedures
- Lead security and EHS training initiatives
- Identify and develop risk reduction strategies through employee engagement
Requirements
- Developing and implementing day-to-day functions for the Grower Processing facility, retail stores, and supporting senior management to ensure federal and local legislative compliance.
- Developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) pertaining to safety, environmental issues, and security.
- Driving the development of autonomous security and Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) culture within the organization.
- Ensuring security and EHS standard operating procedures are enforced across all facilities.
- Leading initiatives to provide security and EHS training to employees.
- Leading the development of risk identification and reduction awareness and methods.
- Achieving security and EHS objectives through employee engagement and participation.
