Job Description
The Pharmacist In Charge is responsible for overseeing the dispensing of medical cannabis, reviewing physician orders, supervising pharmacy technicians, and ensuring compliance with legal and organizational policies to provide high-quality consultation and medication to patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and interpret physician orders for medical cannabis
- Dispense medication to patients
- Supervise pharmacy technicians' compounding activities to ensure compliance with policies and laws
- Provide consultations and guidance to patients regarding their medical cannabis needs
Requirements
- Possession of a valid pharmacist license in the state where the job is located.
- Experience in reviewing and interpreting physician s orders related to medication dispensing.
- Ability to dispense medication to patients in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Supervisory experience overseeing pharmacy technicians, specifically in supervising compounding activities performed by pharmacy technicians.
- Knowledge of and compliance with organization policies, as well as applicable state and federal laws governing pharmacy operations.
- Experience working within a team of Pharmacy Technicians and operations personnel.
