• Lead daily operations of the grower processing facility across cultivation, extraction, processing, and packaging.
• Ensure production targets, quality standards, and compliance requirements are met or exceeded.
• Collaborate with the Director of Operations on strategy, scheduling, and resource planning.
• Drive operational efficiency through process improvements and lean manufacturing principles.
• Provide direct leadership and support to departments.
• Foster a positive, accountable culture focused on teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Assist in hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance management of staff.
• Leverage knowledge of cannabis cultivation cycles, plant health, and production timelines to guide the team.
• Work cross-functionally to ensure seamless handoffs between cultivation, processing, extraction, and packaging.
• Monitor environmental controls, production yields, and overall facility performance.
• Identify and recommend new techniques or technologies to enhance production or product quality.
• Ensure strict compliance with all state cannabis regulations, company policies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Support regular internal audits and regulatory inspections.
• Promote and enforce workplace safety programs, including OSHA compliance and GMP standards where applicable.
• Analyze production data and KPIs to identify bottlenecks, trends, and opportunities.
• Prepare regular reports on production, staffing, and facility performance for leadership review.
• Partner with leadership on special projects and expansion initiatives.
• 7+ years of manufacturing, production, or operations management experience, preferably in a regulated industry.
• Cannabis cultivation or processing experience required—strong understanding of plant life cycles, post-harvest, and extraction preferred.
• Proven ability to lead teams in a dynamic, hands-on environment.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with seed-to-sale tracking systems and compliance reporting.
• Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience.
• OSHA and safety training certifications.
• Experience working in a unionized environment (if applicable).
