Job Description

The Compliance Audit Manager is responsible for conducting regional internal audits, ensuring adherence to laws and internal controls within a vertically integrated cannabis company, and preparing reports to identify issues such as non-compliance or fraud, with travel to various facilities as needed.

Requirements

Experience in managing regional departmental output, internal audits, and reporting compliance operating procedures within a regulated industry.
Ability to analyze local laws and regulations related to cannabis operations and ensure compliance across all aspects of a vertically integrated cannabis company, including cultivation, manufacturing, and dispensaries.
Experience in facility license renewals maintenance for cannabis-related facilities.
Willingness and ability to travel extensively to conduct comprehensive audits at various locations.
Proficiency in preparing reports and providing evidence of issues such as poor controls, fraud, and non-compliance with laws, regulations, and management policies.
Strong understanding of internal control procedures and regulatory compliance requirements specific to the cannabis industry.
Demonstrated ability to identify and assess compliance risks and recommend corrective actions.
