Job Description
The role involves leading UX/UI design for an advanced Earth intelligence weather platform, creating intuitive interfaces for complex data-driven workflows, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and shaping the overall user experience to support expert users in energy and trading sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full UX/UI design lifecycle for web and platform, from research to delivery.
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and synthesize feedback into actionable insights.
- Use analytics tools to inform design decisions and measure impact.
- Create and validate design concepts through user flows, personas, wireframes, and prototypes.
- Develop and maintain a modular Figma design system with documentation and guidelines.
- Collaborate with engineers to ensure accurate implementation and resolve design trade-offs.
- Craft clear microcopy to support usability and tone consistency.
- Communicate design rationale and present work to stakeholders.
- Stay current on UX/UI trends, tools, and best practices.
Requirements
- Seven (7) years of experience designing B2B, data-rich technical products.
- Experience as the first solo design hire or founding designer is preferred.
- A strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end design work, with emphasis on usability, visual design excellence, and measurable outcomes.
- Experience instrumenting PostHog or an equivalent analytics tool, defining an event taxonomy, building funnels and cohorts, and using insights to inform design while respecting user privacy.
- Advanced skills in Figma prototyping, component libraries, and familiarity with other design wireframing tools.
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted design tools and the ability to prompt, evaluate, and refine outputs into production-ready designs.
- Strong understanding of responsive design, accessibility standards, and design systems.
- Excellent collaboration skills and proven ability to work in agile, cross-functional teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with confidence in presenting to diverse stakeholders.
