Job Description

The Health, Safety and Quality Engineer is responsible for developing and implementing HSE strategies, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards, conducting risk assessments and investigations, managing environmental and sustainability initiatives, and supporting safety training and incident response across UK and international operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement Invinity's HSE strategy across UK and international operations
  • Ensure compliance with UK HSE legislation, ISO standards, and internal audits
  • Conduct risk assessments, accident investigations, and root cause analyses
  • Manage environmental monitoring, waste management, and sustainability reporting
  • Deliver HSE training and awareness programs at all organizational levels
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies, insurers, and external auditors
  • Support safety planning and incident response for line managers and supervisors
  • Provide HSE input for new projects, facilities, and equipment installations
  • Regularly review and update safety policies, documentation, and procedures
  • Report HSE metrics and performance indicators to senior management

Requirements

  • Ensure compliance with UK HSE legislation, ISO standards, and internal audit requirements.
  • Conduct and oversee risk assessments, accident investigations, and root cause analyses.
  • Manage environmental monitoring, waste management, and sustainability reporting.
  • Deliver HSE training and awareness programmes across all levels of the business.
  • Lead the development and implementation of Invinity's HSE strategy across UK and international operations.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies, insurers, and external auditors as required.
  • Support line managers and supervisors with safety planning and incident response.
  • Provide HSE input to new projects, facilities, and equipment installations.
  • Regularly review and update safety documentation, policies, and procedures.
  • Report key HSE metrics and performance indicators to the Manufacturing Director and SLT.
